Malina Day 9
Hi. Can’t you believe tomorrow is going to be our last blog ( maybe our last homework assignment for the year ). It was so obvious The Souls were going to win I bet there’s going to be some type of tea party. Julian pretty much answered all of the questions is he the question answerer or something. For some reason I think Mrs. Olinski is planning something and the commissioner didn’t want The Souls to win. I think Mr. Fairbain was lying about the tax payers being proud because they don’t even care and probably Mr. Fairbain is on well fair and the taxpayers are probably giving him money for doing nothing and he thinks they will pay for everything so he is saying that to trick people into thinking they are very nice guys. I agree Thomas about why this book is called “A View From Saturday “ and the thing about the cover. This my second to last blog next time will be my last. See you next time .
Corey day 9
Jello fellow bloggers and friends. whoa Thomas thank you, you explained what the title means. I never really got why it is called that but now you explained what it meant. Steven, I completely agree with you. I can not wait until school ends. This last week is going to stink because we just want it to end but we have to still come to school and do well on our finals. Christian, I agree with you that the names for lakes near ephinany elementary, The Finger Lakes, it is a weird name. Christian the word unison means together. it is usually used when you are talking about how Nations are working together in unison. Thomas are you blogs all together and there is no separation between each new blog. I am glad that the commissionaire gave The Souls the points for Posh and Tip. I can not believe that they only let Dr. Rohmer say " The tax payers are very proud." He should at least be able to say I AM VERY PROUD OF THIS TEAM. No, just that. I understand why it is harder to get in a passenger seat than it is a driver seat because you have to trust someone else to drive. and after that traumatic event she probably is very freaked out about cars. I mean I even knew that humty dumpty did not come from Alice in Wonderland. How many of you guys knew that? They finally beat Maxwell. do any of you guys think that in the other point of view when they were renting the buses to go to Albany that the game they just won is that one. BYE :)
thomas day 9
Malina of course hia dad knows about ham he wrote I am a *** on his son's backpack. Olivava i did notice that how since ever since the souls got closer. They have had tea every weekend. cory I do think that Jullians dad is physic. He is just weird that way. i know that does not make sense but that is how i feel. I just thought of this know but why can they not just call the groups north central northesast ect... using the cardnail dirictions. howcan you be patient beyond your ears. I think that it is funny how almost every newscaster has a aringinal name Holly Blackwell, Herold Hay, Staice smith, ect.,.. Isn' Madd a TV show hathas parodys of everything. How Mrs.Onlaaski picked her team wil soon enough be natioal news. Because if holly talks to any one about this New York, Queens, Brooklin, and Long island konws. Yippie the tax payers are happy lets all through a party. It is funny how this guy thinks that now that tax payers are happy they are saved. Unless wee know the school is not getting lawsutied. it is not in dept, and is not shutting down. for all the readers know. I like how the author (E. L Koingingsburgh) leaves the chapters sortoflike a cliffhanger. Well is a definine line between between a good driver and a bad driver I mean sure if the person driving was half off the road that is one thing and tere are many other things. Audible was a vocab word a long time ago. Why would they give Maxwell half a point ifthey were cnfused with the score. hurray Empiphany won. Now that is out of the system now what do tey do? I wonder how big the trophy was? Hard to believe we are almost done with the book.
Day 6 Lilly,
Chapter 6 came out way too quick. What does acronym mean? It is confusing to think about. I found a simile on page 129 paragraph 3. Smiling faces lifted and tilted toward him like the broad front faces of sunflowers as they follow the sun across heaven. Christian the book is making more sense but the words are bigger and more confusing. Hannah mediocre was a long time spelling word. It means not serious or goofy. This "Ham" guy seems pretty wierd what do you guys think? :{ Can't wait to find out what happens next. HAVE FUN BLOGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steven day 9
understand why the commissioner would be in shock because no contestant has ever told him he was rong. I was glad that they finally agreed with Julian that he was right that tip meant to insure promptness. weren't you guys also glad too? I think that Julian should have argued that the acronim MADD was rong. I agree with malina that it was strange that Julian's father knew things that Mrs. Olinski nevertold anyone. I disagree with thomas that it wasn't aterrible choice to pick ham.
Olivia Day 9
It is our last Monday of school!! Christian, unison means the musical interval of a perfect prime. 2. a sounding together in octaves, especially of male and female voices or of higher and lower instruments of the same class. I was so excited that Julian got the answer right and that it counted. That commissioner was acting so stupid. Does anyone else agree? I can't believe that the souls traveled to Albany. Did you guys know that Albany is the capital of New York? And i also can't believe they got in the newspaper. I mean i've been in the newspaper before but i was sitting next to a kid that was picking his noes. Not as exciting is it now? Do any of you know what the word blitz means? I found it on page 147, paragraph 2. I can't believe that tomorrow is our last day of hard reading homework! That is so exciting. How about you guys? Does anyone agree with me on that one? I found a simile on page 147, paragraph 3. " While arranging the souls behind Dr. Rohmer like a back drop of the American flag." It made me so mad that the news lady didn't ask the kids any questions. I mean they are the stars of the show, they should be getting all the spotlight not the principal. And how about Mrs.Olinskies driving? Isn't that pretty good for a handicapped person? I bet she drives better than my dad. I think it was pretty predictable that Epiphany was going to win. After all the book was all about the souls. Cya all tomorrow!!! 3 more days of school left! WE CAN DO THIS!!
BenDay8,
Hello blogers in the room of 307 reading class! Last time i cheked there were 4 reagions in the state. I think Thomas is right theh things that thomas said were right.! Mrs. farabaugh for some days i can only see like 2 of them even if theyre put together. Mrs. Olinski has short term memory loss probably becasue she cant even remember the souls come on she picked them iether that or shes just messing around. Who reads the bible in this class i know i do every sunday. BYE !!!!
Christian Day 9
Hello everyone! 3 days left of school. I`m so happy! Aren't you? I think it is hard to respond to people since all the blogs are put together. I agree with Thomas when he said he knows why this book is called A View From Saturday. I agree with Steven when he said that he was glad the "Souls" beat the "Knightsbridge" team. Today we are reading 2 chapters. It is our first time. I just figured out what MADD stands for. On page 147 at the bottom why is there stars in front of the words? It is weird. If you didn’t get what Mrs. Olinski said on page 148 read page 1 again to find out. At first I thought it was pronounced Home-r but is Hum-r. I think it is weird that it say ed-you-kay-shun instead of education. See you guys tomorrow. Bye!

Malina Day 8
Hello again. I think it was strange how Julian’s dad knows about Mrs. Olinski’s decision over the Ham dude or Julian. When Mrs. Olinski called that jerk known as Michael up to the room I thought she was going to say complement and award Michael then he would start bragging about but apparently she embarrassed him. For some reason at the part of book when they were staring at Mrs. Olinski eating and drinking it reminded me of a movie called “The Woman In Black because this guy was staring at someone( like how the Souls were staring at Mrs. Olinski someone) and the very next second she wasn’t there anymore. Have you ever thought of something completely different from a conversation and said something out loud like Mrs. Olinski ? Mrs. Olinski’s van reminds me of my neighbors because its special like Mrs. Olinski’s and we call it the kid limo. Talk to you next time. Bye.
Thomas day 8
Cory I do not think it would of been terrible. If Ham Got put on tthe team. Ben Cory's blog was combined with a bunch of other people's blog. Also Ben a cominsioner is supposed to be strick. If for say one was not you know his school would be terrible. There would grfiiti everywhere there would be vilionce and many other bad things. I think I know why it is called a view from Saturday it is not one spcific thing but the cover gives it away. The House is where Jullian lives. The cup represent the tea they drank chapters ago or ahead. And there a four of them and there are four of the "Souls". So that gets rid of the View and Suturday in the title. The only thing is that from which Sat ur day I do not really know. Tell me what you think guys. I am going to reread that chapter. Malina that is what the i think the title means. The title I bet the chapter is going to tell us Ms.Onlaski will probably have a view on Saturday when the kids are drinking tea with what looks like grapefruit in it . While they are dooing this all on saturday. i bet that the souls don't have any friends if they have tea every weeekend. what bread are they using bread without a crust. are all the souls sicick. how would they lnow that Mrs.Onlaski was on the verge of picking a nother. I wounder what ganra this book is? Why Noah why you went so long without going fact, fact, fact.
Olivia Day 8
Hi blogger buddies !! I agree with Cristian that their is a lot of weird words in the book. Corey i also noticed that chapters 1through4 took up half of the book. I finally get why the book is called " The View From Saturday" It's called that because the souls always have tea at 4:00 every Saturday. Also that's how they all became the souls. Did anyone else catch that? I found it to be weird that they knew Mrs.Olinski as coming. I found a simile on page 141, paragraph 2. " And ate the tarts with bites as delicate as the tarts themselves." The word sensation means 1.a mental process resulting from the immediate external stimulating of a sense organ often as distinguished from a conscious awareness of the sensory process.2. A state of excited interest or feeling. I found it to be quite funny when Mr.Singh said he liked "Jeopardy" because my mom loves that show. It was a flashback when Mr.Singh was talking about what he dod when he lived on the cruise ship. Cya guys tomorrow.
Steven day 8
hello every one it's me again. I'm glad that the souls beat the knitsbridge team. I think that the name of the finger lakes region is a wierd name. Corey a noose is a rope loop. Ben I think that the word xeroxed means copied. I agree with Olivia that I can't wait until school fially ends. Does anybody agree with me? I thought that Mrs. Olinski already knew that they had tea on saturdays. I wonderhow Julians dad knew those things she never told anybody. I also thought she alredy knew that they were the Souls because she called them the souls at the begning of the book. This book is like the Mixed up Files because thi book is all mixed up.
Christian Day 8
Hello everyone! I`m am so happy. Today is our last Friday. Mrs. Farabaugh, there is no Day 7s so i could not respond to anyone. I think Finger Lakes is a wierd name. I found a word repeating on page 139. The word is but. Then in the next sentence it says but also. I don`t get why Noah and Nadia are talking about tea. How do you prononce Mr. Singh? What does unison mean? I found a simile on page 142 paragraph 2 that said, " sat with his back as straight as his chair." Bye everyone!
Corey day 8
Hello people and especially my friendly bloggers. Ben I have no Idea what Posh and Tip means. I was very confused when that question was asked for points. I mean Julian Singh deserved both of those points. He answered both of the question really well. Thanks Ben for telling me that i Have got the longest blog you have ever seen. I agree with you that the commissioner is really strict on the answers to the questions. I agree with you, Malina, that the chapters are getting more confusing as we go on in the book. It was confusing in the beginning then it got a Little more understandable, but now it is getting confusing again i hope every little thing gets tied up in the end. Olivia, They also defeated an eighth grade team. That was really awesome. I thought it was cool that every team near wear The Souls are are named after all the lakes and rivers that flowed south or east because they are in New York. I thought it was cool that The Souls turned down the offer to practice on a Saturday so they could go to tea, at the Sillington House wear Julian Singh lives, and socialize. It was nice of the children to not pour Mrs.Olinski's tea until she got there. Does anyone think it is weird that the children have to work in the shop? I would. If I got payed. I thought it was funny how Mr. Singh was telling Mrs.Olinski about how it would have been terrible if she would have piked Hamilton Knapp, and how he said that Julian Singh was right Soul for the team. Mr. Singh is psychic. Does any one else think that? I don't know what Koran and Upanishads means when Julian where talking about them. I was really confused. BYE

Corey day 7
Hello fellow people and bloggers. Olivia, I am really happy that Mrs.Olinski did not pick Hamilton Knapp that would have been terrible for the team. It would have created many problems for the team. They probably would have not made it is as far has they have now. I found the exact same simile as you did Olivia. Steven, all the rest of the chapters are less than Seven pages. I am happy that the really long chapters are over. Did any of you guys know that the beginning chapters one through four were half of the book!?!?!? I agree with Thomas there are tons of strange people. Thomas, I think the author is being diverse. I think it is weird that the author put a lady in a wheel chair for the book. I have never read a book that had had a lady in a wheel chair. This is definitely a first for me. I agree with you Christian that the book is getting shorter as it goes on. I also agree with you that it is getting better and better as it goes on same with that it is making more sense as it goes on. I also found mediocre too. Lily I think that Mrs. Sharkey is a weird name too. Hannah the word mediocre means 1. only moderate quality, not very good. I think it is funny that Julian Singh said that the commissioner was wrong because because he put the whole team in jeopardy because they could have gotten disqualified from the tournament. Does anyone know what Xeroxed signature means. I thought it was brave of Mrs. Olinski to correct Mr.LeDue on hanged not hung. I think it is funny when Julian Singh corrected Mr.Fairbain on how to say Geronimo and when he asked what tribe Julian was. I am glad that The Souls beat Knightbridge and won the championship. Does any body Know what Noose mean I just have no Idea what it means. Bye see yall tomorrow :)
Steven Day 7
Hi everyone . Inthink that the commissioner as speech less because no one had ever told him that he was wrong before. Ithink that it was a good and bad thing that the souls let Julian take as many risks as he wanted. I agree with christian that this book is getting better. Olivia trounce maens to thrash. Lily vulgar means badly mannered.Thomas a belch is the same thing as a burp. Hanna mediocre means okay. In this chapter I couldn;t keep track of every charicter. I hope that the rest of the chapters are this short.
Ben day7.
Mrs.Farabaugh if i go to look at the previuos day i can only see a few blogs. Olivia i think you mean 11:00 PM not AM because we wold still be in school. Jese corey you wrote the longest blog ive ever seen man. Well this commissioner is very strict, how could he have became a commissioner ? What does the word "xeroxed" mean? Why is it a gift to belch on command? And what does the word " belch" mean? these chapters that are short are awsome Bye now peeps. What does Posh and Tip even come from corey?
Malina Day 7
These chapters just keep getting more confusing every second. I agree with Steven about the team picking thing. Olivia, trounce is usually in the past tense form and if you got beat up you can say you got trounced. These people are really unfair ( I think I didn’t really understand this chapter )when the person asked Julian a question he said the tip version and the person said it was wrong. He didn’t even ask Julian for the posh version. The eighth graders are probably losing still because they’re getting cockier and thinking they don’t need to study because they’re older and The Souls study for a long time. I didn’t get the idea of Uzbek, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan all I saw was gcxgfxcgvvggkvvghccc. That’s all again because these chapters are too short ( at least I don’t have to read a lot yeah). have a nice day.
Olivia Day 7
Hi bloggers! I agree with Steven this book keeps getting better.I also agree with Malina that Ham is a jerk.I can't believe that the souls beat the 7th grade. Can any of you? I knew they were smart but I didn't know they were that smart.I am so proud of Julian because he stood up to the commissioner. I would do that too if I got the answer right and he said it was wrong. I am just a little surprised that Julian's group in't trying to calm him down. Aren't you guys?I found an idiom on page. 134, paragraph 2. " I heard a rumor that your team is expecting to blow mine out of the water." Can't wait until the end of school? See you guys!
Hannah Day #7 Hello bloggers! I agree with Olivia and Ben. I am so glad these chapters are beginning to get more short. I can finally finish so I can get some sleep! You know what just occurred to me? Why do they call this book A View From Saturday? So far it has not said anything about a view from saturday. There are point of views in this book, but it did not say if it was Saturday. I agree with Corey that it is really inappropriate to have a giant assembly about how much pressure there is on the game. I think that Mr. LeDue is trying to bribe Mrs. Olinski to lose by telling her that if there team didnt win he would hang the couch. He probably expected her to feel bad and tell everyone to get them wrong. He is a really big jerk for doing that. I mean its just a game. Sure, you want to win, but do you really have to threaten people? Who else agrees? Why are they putting in such little details that arent really needed? Including the part when there talking about who will be watching, and how they might embarrass someone. Well this chapter was EXTREMELY short. Yay I'm happy! Bye everyone!
Christian Day #7
Hello. First of all. I agree with Mrs. Farabaugh when she said that the blogging website was messed up. When I went to read the blogs I only saw two. Olivia`s and Corey's. As I scrolled down the mouse it seemed Corey had wrote a really really long story! I thought that everyone else didn’t do their homework. So I read it. HA-HA. I then figured out they were all put together. Very confusing. I agree with Ben when he said that he likes how the chapters are short. I disagree with Ben when he said the book is confusing. I think it is getting better. I think this book is mostly talking about the past. Example: Long ago in England, pub owners used to place a box on the bar. (It is on the bottom of the first page of the chapter). So I looked up the copy write. It said 1998. Kind of old but not to old. There is a lot of weird words in this book. Don’t you agree? I found out what waterloo means. It means to suffer a crushing defeat. This book, at the end of chapters, don’t have hooks. What do you think? Bye everyone!
Thomas day 7
Mrs. Farabaugh i am seeingf one gigantic story/ paragph. With all the entries bunched to geather. Ben the souls are Mrs.onlaski's team. They are the team that she will win the Brain bowl or what ever it is called. Olivia Trounce means to cecsure someone forcefully. and ben the chapters were assigned by the group. also Ben I do not think it is dumb to have an assembly over the competition. We had an assembly for the Stellers. Ben you think Oliava is trying to copy you? Well yeah Christian the book is getting shorter. I am just glad we do not have to read 44 paages again. also it is getting better. I agree with Malina a lot. One of the reasons the Souls were beating the eighth grade kids was because they hag arrogance. They probaly thought that they were going to blow the kids out. I do not under stand teh first few wordss in the chapter usually that is not a good sign. any otherr team on spaceship earth. It was also funny how the guy at the beginning was like are you Jullian sighn I would said"the last time i checked ... yes." this book remind me of the movie rebound. how they all bring lunches and practice during lunch the underdogs win, and the fact that the star of the team was Britian and wore knee socks and shorts. I do not get th consept of educational T.V. Isn't soviet kind of russia. I do not think i would like to stay at school 10 hours of my day unless it was for something fun. but not for a brain bowl. although if you are getting food (Which they are)can not pass up the offer. I looked up empihphany ny and aperently they are in Ney York city. I saw they only had one school and that there schedual is not to our coustom. First and Second grade star 6/1. What is ivory money. Is like gold.

Olivia Day 6
I have to agree with Ben about all these short chapters. I'm really liking them! Finally I can get my homework done before 11:00 p.m. I also am happy that Mrs.Olinski picked Julian instead of Ham. Great thinking Malina. I couldn't believe that the commissioner said that Julians answers was wrong.! I mean you could tell that Julian Knew it was right. On page 127, paragraph 1, I found a weird word. It was " trounce." Do any of you know what it means? I found a simile on page 128, paragraph 2. " They raised their arms high ahead and lifted their thumbs like a forests of small apostrophes at the ends of their closed fists." I happen to fid another simile on page 129, paragraph 3. " Smiling faces lifted and tilted toward him like the broad faces of sunflowers as they follow the sun across heaven." Their is just so many figurative language in this book i can hardly keep up. Can you guys? Anyway see you guys tomorrow at school. Only 6 more days for all of us to say that!!!!!! :)
Steven Day 6
I agree with corey that every chapter starts with the word the. I didn't know what posh meant but I did know what tip meant so I don't know why they don't think that tip is a possible answer.I hope that all of these chapters stay small because it makes it easyer. I think that the souls are really good because they are the first sixth grade team to beat a seventh grade team. I think it was funney that Ham belched and tried to belch on command. I am realy looking forward to chapter seven because this book is getting better.
Malina Day 6
This chapter was harder to understand last time. The reason why the eighth grade team was losing against the Souls at end of the chapter is because the eighth grade team was being cocky because just because the Souls were six graders and their eighth graders. I agree with Mrs. Olinsk’s team picking reasons and the team picking also the reason they work together. Imagine if she picked the ham guy jerk they would lose and not get along. Ben I would thank Mrs. Farabaugh for the short chapter if she have done the schedule but we done it. Christian I do agree because the way the chapters are shorter makes it weirder. This isn’t much like I said last time but the chapters are short. Bye!

Corey day 6
Hello people and friendly bloggers. I think I just used a adverb. I agree with you, Malina, I am so glad that Mrs.Olinski picked Julian Singh instead of Hamilton Knapp It would have been terrible if Mrs. Olinski had chosen Ham because that would have ruined the team. Noah, Nadia, and Ethan would have really bad problems with Hamilton Knapp, and they wouldn't have gotten as far as they are now. Thomas, I know it might not be hard to memorize poetry, but we are talking 16 poetry every quarter. I think it is really hard to do. I have no Idea what Posh and Tip means. Does any of you guys have any idea what it means. Found a simile on page 129 paragraph 7 "smiling faces lifted and tilted toward him like the broad front faces of sunflowers as they follow the sun across heaven." I think it is dumb to call a whole assembly just to tell you the pressure of the game against the eighth grade Knightsbridge. I am glad that The Souls beat the seventh grade team.
Ben Day 6
Hello bloger peeps! I think this book is very confusing like her other book we already read. THANKYOU again Mrs. Farabaugh, for this extermely short chapter. Is the souls a bowling team or what??? If they are i would have been her first choice every time ig i get a very good score. Trynig to copy me i see Olivia well its not going to happen !:( To bad Mrs. Olinski isnt real she would make an awsome teacher ( not that you arent Mrs. Farabaugh!). Noah is very smart . bye
Thomas day six.
Grettings class. Ok after eading some of the comments about day five. I have a broad statement to say this book has some weird people in it. I doubt we need to list them. That is why I think the author did a good job at being diverse. she has a character in a wheel chair, a character who moved from britian, ect..., Ben Mrs. farabaugh did not assign the chapters our group did. also ben i did not see secntences Just.Like. If anything it was a printing malfunction. Cory I do agree with you hoe it has short chapters and long chapters really long chapters. akthough i dis agree with you when say the details are annoying. dictorial means 1: of or typical of a ruler with tramendous power 2: having or showing atendency to tell people to do something hashly. I do not know how i kknow that just came to mind. Hanna Mrs.onlaski was jelious because because as i can asume I was jelious when I had to ride in a Whell chair when I did something to my ankles and to imagine that she has to "live" in that thing it can caome annoying how you wish you could walk like the other peple. Steven the last chapter was not only on Mrs onlaski there werer other thing happening like how the "Souls" were acting. Although it was all in the eyes of Mrs onlaski. I think i know that this book in third person point of veiw. I can support this by the facts that Mrs.onlaski is not talking to the reader she seems to be talking to some one and they/ that mystery person seems to be talking to the reader. that is why i think the book is in third person. It is hard to believe we are almost doen with the book. What does "Posh and tip," mean first sentence. When I read the first page on chapter six I imagined it to be like Julian got cptured by the enimes in Star Terk adn was being qustioned whiled being tied to a chair. Now i think that my prediction that something bad happened by this section the last part of the 1st section on the secod page "Youll ought to check a nother source. Did the peopled in epihany know that the underdogs almost always win ex. last super bolw, every sports novel possible, and Annie. I only see one way to practice for a brain bowl and that is going for a question you do not know. If i would set up a team i would have people take different subjects. Doess anyone know what the answers are to the question in te game? I dont. This thing (brain bowl) reminds me of the scrabble tourament i had with my clas last year the under dog (robert) beat me in the final round. i think that the the souls are going to face a collage team from Harvard and Win go underdogs. Ham is probalbly on the stage when he is about to get detetion. Would not be surprising. What is a belch I cant in=magine one sory. I bet that everyone will think why is ham is so mean. Cory dont you plant every plant in the ground or dirt, sand. Ben I havnt heard about that ethier. The minnisota story.
Christian Day #6
Hello everyone! This book is getting shorter as it goes. Don’t you think? It is making sense and is getting better. What do you guys think? I agree with Ben when he said that in the book it said Just. Like. That. It was really weird. I also agree with Thomas when he said there was a few moments of suspense in the last chapter. I agree with Olivia when she said that the chapter was about Mrs. Olinski but it didn't sound like her point of view like all the others. I found out what posh means. It means fashionable. I found a spelling word on page 127. Mediocre. It has a really weird spelling. I am so happy that we used to have 40 pages and now we have 6. It only takes me 10 minutes. See you guys tomorrow!
Day 5 Lilly,
Ben the word dictatorial means autocratic. That was a good question. I think Mrs. Sharkey is a weird name for a teacher. Don't you guys think so too? Are Just. Like. That. complete sentences? I found a simile on page 122 paragraph 3. Her wrists hanging below his cuffs like meter sticks showing how much he had grown since the jacket was new. What does the word vulgar mean on the bottom of page 123? I really don't know. You are right Malina every chapter does start with Mrs. Olinski. That is pretty cool but i really didn't notice till i read the blog. Happy blogging everyone!
Hannah Day #4 Hello bloggers! Yea I agree with Christian and Malina when they said that this blogging thing is getting more easy! On page 101 why does Nadia keep asking if Noah has a dog? Wow, I knew Hamilton was mean, but a drugged treat? Really! You may not like Nadia, but it doesnt mean you can take it out on there dog. Even if he wanted his friend to get the part. Nadia was really nice to let Froelich do the first show. Its a good thing Julian took those treats. How come whenever Sandy comes onto the stage everyone claps? Sure it was a nice show, but you really got to clap whenever Sandy comes in? I wish the chapter continued on to see what happened to Hamilton after Julian did the magic trick. I think it was good what Julian did. Hamilton deserved whatever came at him. I liked this chapter. How about you guys? Bye!
Hannah Day #6 I agree with Malina that Julian was the right person to pick. I predict that if Hamilton was on the team all they would do is disagree with each other and argue. Corey I dont think its poinsetta it is poinsettia. It is a flower. You cant plant it in the ground though. It has to be in a vase or pot. You can see it around winter most likely. (It doesnt grow in the winter, but it is sold a lot for Christmas.) Wow, Julian seems a little more advanced that the commissioner. :P I remember hearing the word mediocre before, but I dont know what it means. Does anyone else know? I think it was a spelling word. If I were them I would be very confused because sometimes when I read to much my brain starts getting fuzzy and I get a headache. I mean how could they spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes Monday-Friday doing that?! I just looked ahead. THIS CHAPTER IS SOOOO SHORT! Only 6 pages! I liked this chapter. (Mostly because it was so short!) BYE!

Malina Day 5
Hi peoples. I did not understand a word in this chapter. All I know is that it left off from the last chapter. I think Mrs.Olinski was right to pick Julian to be on the team instead of the ham guy. I wonder why Mrs.Olinski thinks Julian annoying. I think because he’s from England and she’s racist. I agree with Christian that every chapter starts with Mrs.Olinski and it seems like she’s the main character. Ben, calligraphy is a fancy type of handwriting ( I have a Calligraphy pen at home) also I do agree that chapters are short ,but the character’s point of view is “very” long. That’s all I have to say because this chapter is very short. Bye.

Hello fellow bloggers, friends, and other people. Malina, a poinsetta I think is a kind of flower that you would plant in the ground. I agree with you Malina that I would have given the drugged treats to his dog because that would be pay back for everything they have done to The Souls. Ben I have not heard about the hockey player from Minnesota university that is crippled from the waist down. I agree that the chapters are pretty short and the characters points of view are really long. Ben, the words calligraphy means fancy writing. it is usually really fancy writing you would you usually find it printed. Ya, christian a lot of the chapters do start with Mrs.Olinski. The word bickering means to agree to disagree. Yes it is a funny word to say. I agree with you Thomas that a view from Saturday's title doesn't make any sense. Christian, the start of chapter starts with The instead of Mrs.Olinski. I think it is dumb of Mrs.Sharkey to accuse Mrs.Olinski of being dictatorial. If any of you Don't know what dictatorial it means1. Of or typical of a ruler with power 2. Having or sharing a tendency to tell people what to do in an automatic way. I think it is also dumb of the principal to call the teacher in. It is like getting called to the office. only kids get sent to the office. I think it would have been a terrible to pick Hamilton knapp to be the last member. I think it is funny that two of the souls are related. I am glad that Mrs.Olinski picked Julian Singh instead of picking Hamilton Knapp. it would have been the worst pick if she would have picked him.
Thomas day 5
Ben so you know every thing that has talked a lot is a character in the book. Cory so you know that air lines are rarely even able to bring animals on planes and I do not think it would be smart. and yes Cory i did have a hard time. Christian I do agree with you when you say every chapter starts with Mrs.Onlaski. And Ben so you know that is how people in England dress in the summer and on into fall. This book remind me of the Harry Potter series (up to the third book) Because it never fells like it "actually happening" because it in a different point of view. I do not see how hard it is to memorize poetry. In one month it only takes a few days to memorize one line and limerick's are probably about ten minutes. Steven one reason Jillian is weird is because he moved from Britain. Olivia there was a few moments of suspense in the chapter. also Olivia it was weird how she had quotes it a sentence with quotes although it is possible. I think i would be good for an academic team. because well i am smart but do not have logic. Who cares if Mrs.onlaski is "lazy" she has a wheel chair it probably takes her ten minutes that would take you five minutes. Why does everyone care how Mrs.onlaski picked her team in the long run how much do you want to believethey are the under dogs and when the whole thing. How can Hailtion be a bad boy and a her it makes about as much sense as She didnt know that knew that she knew how she picked the teams. I bet she finds jullian crying on the side of the high school. It must have been terrible on that bus to the play. I fell bad for him. I cant believe that they are proud of a dog who did nothing but bark during a play. how big is the room they are in ther is at leats eight people in that room i imangine it to be a small entry way. not the main room in the bukkinham palace. yippie Jullian is on the team now what are they goin to do hive five. I felt courious reading this I do not know why but courios.
Ben Dat 5,
hello bloggers hows it going? Malina poinsettia is a plant. I agree with Christan almost every chapter starts with Mrs. Olinski. THANK YOU Mrs. Farabaugh for this short chapter thank you. What does the word "dictatorial" mean? On page 120 who else thinks that the sentences Just. Like. That are very wierd? Onomonopia on page 121 " Arf Arf Arf". i thought she didnt like julian?
Christian Day #5
Hey everyone! This book is getting better because the chapter are getting really short. That is a way this book is unusual. What do you think? I'm happy because school is almost over and there is not as much reading! It is also making more sense. I have heard of the hockey player that is crippled from his neck down. That would be really bad. It would ruin your life. What do you guys think? I agree with Thomas when he said that Mrs. Olinski is like Charles Wallace. They are both smart. This book has a ton of detail in it. That is good but in gets so annoying. I think that is why the chapters are so long. This book also has lots of run on sentences. I agree with Olivia when she said that she thought it was sad that Hamilton put crippled on the board. What if he was crippled? I'm sure he wouldn’t like someone doing that to him. See you guys tomorrow!
Olivia Day 5
I agree with Christian when he said that it almost seems that the word Mrs.Olinski appears in the beginning of each chapter. Bickering means to engage in petulant or peevish argument, or to run rapidly. I totally agree with Thomas, I know a lot of people who would do graffiti. I thought it was weird when the author wrote " Just. Like. That." It didn't seem to make sense to me. You know? I know that this chapter is all about Mrs. Olinski but, it doesn't sound like her point of view like all the others. It seems as if another person is telling it. I found a weird word on page 121, paragraph 1. " sophisticated" It means smart and a person who knows how to act in a way. I found an idiom on page 121, paragraph 2. " He disappeared into thin air." I also found a simile on page 122, paragraph 1. " Like the cursor on a computer screen her eyes moved from the first row to the second, and stopped." I think it's funny how Nadia is always bragging about how great Ginger is, because sometimes I brag about stuff. Like my clothes, or shoes. You know like girly stuff. Happy blogging!
Steven Day 4
How come in the begining of this chapter the authter writes the same things as the other chapter.I have no idea what Annie`s Sandy is. I think it is wierd that they call it a cattel call when they are asking for dogs. I think that that comik strip had wierd people and dogs because nobody had any irises. I think that Ginger was beter than any of the other dogs in the auditions for the roll of Sandy in the play. I think that mrs. Reynolds didn't recognise Ethan because he is usualy quiet. I thinkthat they are cleaning the B and B realy good for there guests that are coming soon. Nowhere in this entirechapter did I find out how Julian got his answer to his question. I disagree with Thomas that Julian wrote cripple because it said in the chapter that ham wrote the word cripple.
Hannah Day #5 Hello bloggers! Yes Corey i do think Julian has been through a lot. Also I didnt see the part where it said about the crate, but still it is kind of mean and not really funny to tranquilize your dog. All the other teachers are really mean to Mrs. Olinski for not picking a team yet?! Cut her some slack she is in a wheel chair. It must be really hard for her to go around the school. Does anyone know what dictatorial means? Why did she even consider having Hamilton on the team. He was being mean to her one the FIRST day of school. Does anyone know what malice means? Does Mrs. Diamondstein seem nicer to Nadia since they went to Florida? Anyone else think that or just me? Ben it is spelled RAdio because the RA is in as RAdar or something like that I cant find the page. Wow! this chapter was really short! Why was Mrs. Olinski jealous? Well I hope everyone is like this story. So far for me three and a half stars out of five. BYE!
Steven Day 5
I think that Mrs. Olinsky didn' tpick her tem before any of the other theachers is because she hasn't decided who is capable of being in the academic bowl. I don't thinkthat Mrs. O should pick Hamelton Knapp because he picks on her and also he was the one who wrote the word crippel on the black board.I think that Ethan grew a lot in just one month. When I heard the description of the man I knew that it was going to be Nadias grandpa Izzy.I agree that it is finally making sence.I was glad that this chapter was shorter than the other ones.I noticed that this chapter was only about Mrs. O.
Bye.

Malina Day 4
Hello peoples who blog on this educational web site. On page 106 paragraph 4 I when I read that I was wondering what the heck is a poinsettia. On page 114 paragraph 3 THUMP-THUMP-THUMP and MP-MP are examples of a figurative language called an Onomatopoeia . I do agree with Thomas that there are really mean people in this confusing book. If I were in this book I would have insisted on giving the drugged dog treats to Michael Froelich. Like I said I agree with Julian that he should of have given the drugged dog treats to the jerk known as Michael Froelich. I shall see you again next time we blog on this educational website.
Corey day 4
Hello friendly bloggers. Steven, I have no idea what WASP means. Lily, I think the valentine rule is silly too. I agree with you Thomas that Julian has had to go through a lot. Does any of you guys think so to? Hannah do you want your dog suffering down in a dark and scary place at the bottom of the plane. that would be torture for me to hear him whine because i like my dog. And I think that it would be terrible to your dog for him to want you to come get him but you can't. now that would stink. besides it might be kinda funny watching your dog being all loopy. Do you all think that the start of paragraph 4 is from Mrs. Olinkski's point of view? I think it is. I had a hard time pronouncing the word "paraplegic", did you? I think that Hamilton Knapp is a mean kid. He asked Mrs. Olinski to write higher when she could barely even write her name on the middle of the chalkboard. I think it is funny that the "J-names" for girls are out of fashion, but the "J-names" for boys were in fashion back when this book was written. I can say that right now there are both in fashion. We have a Jordan and a Jason in our class. So, I think they are both in style. This book was written in 1997, so should be up to date, but a lot of things change in 15 years. I think it was foolish that Nadia and Noah were arguing about Ginger getting a part in the play. I think it was really mean of Hamilton Knapp to try to tranquilize Ginger to get her out of the show. But, I was glad that Julian decided to put the poison treats in the trash, and put the regular treats on the table for Arnold. It was the right thing to do.
Ben Day4
Hello bloggers! Have any of you guys heard of the Minnasota university hockey player that is crippled from the neck down? How many of you think that the chapters are short but the characters points of view are really long? What does the word calligraphy mean? Hey Thomas that guy your describing sounds a lot like you in the fall. Incorrect spelling on page 98 "------ RAdio----." Sorry for all th lines. Lilly your starting to undrestand the story !? I cant even keep all the characters straight!
Christian Day #4
Hello everyone! I agree with Malina when she said that blogging is getting easier. I also agree with Lilly when she said ecology was a spelling word. I agree with Corey when he said that he "HOPES" the book to get a plot. I also agree that when Corey said that the kids had to memorize 14 lines of poetry each month and that it is crazy. It seems in every chapter the first word is Mrs. Olinski. Does anyone agree? I jut figured out what paraplegic means. it means you are paralyzed from the waist down. I just learned what radar meant. I means Radio Detecting And Ranging. On page 101, like half the page is questions that keep saying, "do you have a dog." What does bickering mean on page 101 last paragraph? It is a funny word. Don’t you guys think that? I think it means fighting or talking. I don’t know. I found a metaphor on page 102 paragraph 1 that said, "there was a monkey, once, but it was a terrible thief. I think Sapphire is a cool name. Ginger is a genius. She learned her lines. The funny part is that dogs cant talk. So the have to listen. I found a simile on page 103 that said, "the next two were small and looked like batteryoperated plush toys. See everyone tomorrow!
Steven Day 3
Hi everyone it's me again.Ben onix is a volcanic rock.I would not like to be with Mrs.O in sixth grade because she would make you memorize twelve lines of poetry each month.I would hate to live where Ethan does because he lives farther away from the school than anyone else. Would you hate that too? My prediction is that I think they will win the Academic Bowl. I didn't think that eathan would learn his answer to his question so soon in this chapter.I think that everyone likes Ethans brother Lucas. I think that the diference between farmers and suburbanites is really wierd. I think that Julian Singh is real wierd than the rest of the kids in that school.I found a simily on page 91 paragraph 6 in the midel " It was like a scavenger hunt ''
Thomas day 4
Malina I am getting used to blogging. Hanna I am as clueless as you. A view from Saturday makes no sense as the title. And It is weird period. Christian I know a lot of people who would graffiti. I am with Corey on this one. And how he thinks that the story has no plot. I found it surprising how it spent almost a hole chapter on an audition, and how to get the children to the B and B. Julian's life must not be vary intresting he olny spent 20 some pages While the other kids would not stop going into detial. i think that Mrs.onloski is like charles wallace. How I can asume that she can "Read minds." I think that when Mrs. Onlaski was taking the kids to Jullian's house it reminded me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz when they are about to see the wizard. I don't know why I just had that felling of akwardness.
Olivia Day 4
Hey Bloggers! This chapter is probably my favorite so far because it's full of suspense and because I have a dog. How about you guys? I think what the author meant was that blue black hair just means it's silky. But, it could mean something else Lilly. I agree with Lilly; I feel bad for Mrs. Olinski. I thought it was sad when Hamilton Knapp wrote CRIPPLE on the board. I mean she's just a little old lady. Why does he have to pick on her? It was kind of cool how that Ethan knew that Julian wanted to help Mrs. Olinski by just looking at the monkey.I thought it was quite funny that Julian didn't know what the play Annie was. I think the fact that he was born in a different country has prevented him from knowing somethings. I have always loved the play Annie but I never knew about the comic strip. I find that quite interesting.Do any of you? I found an idiom on page 100, paragraph 1: "They call that a 'cattle call' ." Cattle call means an open audition. I thought it was weird how the author used single quotation m arks inside double quotation marks. I am glad Michael Froelich's dog didn't win the part of Sandy. He had been so Mean to Julian.I found a simile on page 106. "We had them all facing the same way so that their shadows on the wall looked like a computer rendering of an architectural cross section." I can't wait for the next chapter, especially because it's short.

Steven Day 2
Why do you think that the commissioner wanted to be looked at? I thik that Mrs.O will have trouble with having to say why she picked her team.I think that the word ed-you-kay-toars sounds wierd when you say it like that. What is a WASP? I think that it was mean of the commissioner to call Mrs.O a crippel. Noah was the best man at Nadia's grandfater's wedding. I don't know why Nadia calls her dog a geneous I think it is gust a regular dog.An orchid is a type of flower. I think it is sad that turtels can die when they are half in and half out. I think that Ethan was greaful for seeing The Phantom of the Opera.I think that Nadia likes to know things that she does not already know.
Malina Day 3
Hello for the third time. I’m getting very use to blogging are you? When Ethan was telling jokes it reminded me of a book called dogs don’t tell jokes by Louis Satcher there’s this boy named Gary Boone and people always call him Goone. I feel bad for Juline because two boys stool his back pack and wrote I’m a #%$@ on it. I think I don’t have chops alone because it said in the book if you have chops alone you can’t be an artist ( no one even likes my drawings anymore ). I think Ethan was a little different from the last chapter and Noah was different from the first chapter. When they were talking about the day they want to back to each one of the days from the guests of the party was from each of their own stories. I disagree with Corie the last chapter wasn’t that confusing. Nice blogging with you again.
Lilly day#3,
Olivia you were right, ecology was a spelling word. I think the word multiculturalism means many cultures. Don't you guys think the valentine rule is kind of silly? I think I'm starting to understand the story. Some but not all the pictures are coming together. How can someone have blue-black hair. This chapter keeps going from 1st person to 2nd person and back again which makes it hard to process. I felt emotions when I found out Mrs. Olinski was paralyzed. I guess the word "paralyzed" just makes me feel sad. I really agree with you Malina when you said Ethan and Nadia talking about breeding made you feel weird! Turtles hatching reminds me of when i went to Jackal island and saw some baby sea turtles hatching. Once again enjoy day 4 and happy blogging
Thomas day 3
Hello bloggers of the world. Christian so you now Bridge was not by E.L Koingsberg. Also Christian I do agree I hope it gets better. Olivia multiculturalism means more that one culture. Also Olivia i agree with you every since the day after we had to turn in the figurative language journal. i have found at least 150 forms of figurative language. I am not settled yet on the fact that the guy who had knee socks and short shorts. I thought that a move from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania was big this kid had to move from Britain to upstate New york. I felt bad for Julian whan Ham. wrote on his leather back back in sharpie. and Wrote something dirty. I can't image having to come home from school and having to tell my parents what happened. Also i think it would be quite an experience to be invited to a tea party. This book has some mean people in it. I know every one probably thinks the same but it was only half a page in the chapter on something different. Then on the next page it is something different. I think that Julian did not know what a paraplegic was one of those words that did not break the boarder so to his better he wrote cripple from across the pond language might be a little different. It would be cool to own a B in B. How many rooms does that house have
Hannah Day #3 Ok first of all Corey I do not agree with you when you said that you rather have your dog tranquilize. Dogs are a living thing too. Would you like it if I just stuck a needle in your neck that made you fall asleep? I bet not. Malina is right right about day 2. It was a lot less confusing than day 1. I am guessing that Ethan is shy. I think that because on the bus he hopes no one will sit next to him. Does anyone else think he is a shy person? Does anyone know why this book is called "The View from Saturday"? These chapters are so long because there is so much detail! Poor Mrs. Olinski. It must be hard for people that are paraplegic. I am guessing Ham Knapp is the bully or something like that. Ben I think onyx is like a black jem. AWWW! Ethan likes Nadia! Which is kind of weird since they are technically related! When it says about the third day Julian started off.. does it mean the third day of school because what they are saying it seems like they have been at school for a few weeks now. THESE CHAPTERS ARE TO LONG! I have spent two hours on this and I am not done. IT SAID A BAD WORD! Wait isnt Ham a GIRl? So, Ethan wants to be a designer. There really is no shame there. A lot of men are designers. Julian is nice but, people just judge him on how he looks and talks. That is kind of mean. I am kind of warming up to the book. Well see you tomorrow. Bye.
Corey day 3
Hello fellow bloggers. I disagree with you Olivia I think this book is not interesting, and it is really boring. there does not seem to be any real plot to the story. I HOPE it will develop a plot because if it doesn't I will not like this book even more. I think that Nadia's father is not mean he is just really really protective! Lily I think a orchid is a place where there is a lot of flowers and other plants. I think it is crazy to have children to memorize FOURTEEN lines of poetry each month. That would be torture. I think that it is wired that they only have the children memorize the times tables up through 12. I learned up to fifteen times tables LAST YEAR!!!!! I wish I was as good as Ethan's brother Lucas his brother is great at everything. I found a simile on page 63 paragraph 2 "he has become a myth like Paul Bunyun or Davey Crockett." You are right Olivia there is tons of similes in this book. I thought was funny how bad Ethan wanted to have his own seat. He wanted that really bad, but he gave it up.
I thought was interesting that you don't know who wrote the word CRIPPLE. I thought it was funny that Ethan's luck ran out and the store ran out of all the other puzzles they had on display. I liked Ethan's joke he made to comfort Julian about when Hamilton wrote some mean things on his book bag. I am glad that the four of the kids are getting along really well. I realized that the souls in the first chapter is the 4 kids we are getting told about. I thought that the word chops in the book is a different word of any word I have ever heard of.
Olivia Day 3
Hey! I also agree with Christian that i hope the book gets better. I think that the book is called a view from Saturday because the whole academic bowel happened on a Saturday. I disagree with Christian, print is black. I don't know what he is talking about. I totally agree that old people have short hair and young people have long hair. I Mean my mom has short hair and she's pretty old. Now, I just can't believe that Margaret Draper was Mrs. Olinski's old principle! To me that just blows my mind. I find the authors righting to be very odd because she always gives you the answers but explains why the kids know the it latter. Do any of you get what I mean? For example the author said that Ethan Potter would know all four parts. But anyway, all I ca tell from this book is that it's long, hard, and confusing. What do you think? It seems quite strange that every chapter the characters always mention Epiphany. I found language from another time or place. It was " bloomers." That is another word for trousers. I also found a flashback when Ethan was telling the reader about his family fighting for woman's rights to vote. So far Ethan sounds like a pretty neat kid. Do any of you think that? This book reminds me of "A Wrinkle in Time" because their both confusing books but, after you keep reading you start to understand things. I also found a simile on page 63, paragraph . "He has become a myth like Paul Bunyan, or Davy Crockett." I just can't wait to read on. Happy blogging!
Christian Day #3
Hello everyone! I think this book is getting kind of good. It is not the best but still good. I agree with Malina when she said that this book is coming together. I also agree with Olivia when she said that this book is getting better. I disagree with Corey. He said that the book was not confusing in the beginning and was getting more. I think that the book started fast paced and was just throwing things at us. We just started the book! It is sort of like E.L. Konigsburg expecting us to know everything. I think it started confusing and got less. That is what I think. What do you guys think? This book is good but it is unique. It has parts of a chapter, a different point of view from chapter to chapter, and is fast paced. Wow! That school has a lot of strict rules. No graffiti (by the way who would do that), no gum chewing (which stinks), no running, or shoving in the halls. What if you tripped and got in trouble. That would really stink. It is also bad because every grade has to do something hard. I would hate to go to that school. EVERYONE WHO HATES SCHOOL SHOULD BE GLAD YOU GO TO OURS!! See you guys tomorrow! Bye.
Ben Day3
This principal is very strict i can see why Mrs.O moved to a different school. This chapter is confusing because there are so many facts and names to memorize. On page 61 what does th word "nonchalantly" mean? I cant guess what it means! I found alliteration on page 62. "---- Great-grandmother got arrested." Olivia I found out that multicultralism mean like black people indians and stuff like that. I agree with Lilly there are alot of similies in this book. I think i am going to like Noah the beat out of the characters.

Olivia Day 2
Hi Bloggers!
I am really enjoying this book now. It is starting to be more interesting now that some of the loose ends are being tied up.I figured out that Allen is Nadia's father. I agree with Melina, that Allen is pretty mean. I looked up the word timid and it means shy.Do you guys know what multiculturalism means? It was on page 22 , paragraph 2. I found a simile on page 22, paragraph 2. " I chose a brunette, a redhead, a blonde, and a kids hair as black as print on paper." I found another simile on 23, paragraph 2. "And she was as plump as a perfectly ripened peach." Personally, I think that some of the kids names are weird, don't you? I think they might be different because of their culture or religion.
I thought is was strange that Nadia went to school so delighted and wasn't timid at all. I mean people just don't change overnight. What do you think? On page 24, the word ecology was one of our spelling words. Ever since I have started doing all of this hard reading homework, for some reason, I have started paying more attention to things. Like now, when someone uses figurative language, I know exactly what kind it is. Have any of you had that happen. I noticed that the author always foreshadows. He is telling the reader why the kids get the answers right. At the beginning of this book, I didn't get anything. But now that I've caught on, I understand the book a whole lot more. When Nadia said, she didn't know who was more happy to see her dad, it was like my dog and I. My dad is my dog's favorite, too. There are so many similes in this book. I can't believe I found another. On page 26, paragraph 4, "Grandpa's Izzy's eyes are like the sudden underside of a bird's wing. I thought I was going to knock out Nadia's dad because he made me so made.He didn't consider Nadia's feelings. I'm looking forward to chapter 3! :)
Lilly Day 2,
Hello again bloggers. I agree that Noah is quite cocky. I really don't get the story at all. I hope it comes together in the end. Christian I think an orchid is a flower. I think they are used in weddings sometimes. I found a simile on page 22 paragraph 3." I could choose a brunette,a redhead,a blond, and a kid with hair as black as newsprint." What do you guys think" tendrils" means on page 23 paragraph? I have noticed there are lots of similes in this book. I don't get how subjects can change so fast. It was taking about divorce then all the sudden a dad picking up a girl and her dog. I felt sad when i read about the turtle eggs getting eaten. The author went right out and said "if you disturb a turtle nest you will be fined and maybe even go to jail." I like that in authors what about you guys? Happy blogging!!!!
Malina day 2
Hi. It’s nice to blogging with you again. This chapter wasn’t as confusing as the last one. Allen was a lot different on this chapter then the last one this time he was much nicer. Don’t you think this and the last chapter kind of relates. When the author said “painting over Nadia’s freckles is like brushing cinnamon off of a cinnamon roll. When the author said that it reminded me of this pizza commercial when the pizza man said he liked pizza he said it’s like a tire liking a speed bump, and it’s like a turkey liking thanks giving. I felt a little strange when Nadia and Ethan were talking about “breeding”. I think Nadia is very generous because instead of going to Disney world she helped save baby turtles with people she is really mad at. I was a little disappointed when they mentioned Noah from the last chapter because I thought the last chapter was very annoying and boring , but this chapter was a lot more interesting. I disagree with Christian I don’t think Noah is funny at all. Have a nice time blogging.
Corey day 2
Hello fellow bloggers. I think that the book in the beginning is not confusing because it stayed on two people although I do think it will get more confusing as we go on. I agree with Christian that the book started really fast. It started right into the story like in my Alex rider book it gave a whole back story on Alex. I was confused with the first page too because it told something about Mrs.Olinski, and then they never mention her name again. I think this book reminds me of some book I read in first grade that book was very confusing too.
I don't like this book it has really long chapters, like I had to just read thirty pages. Tomorrow we have to read like fifty pages. And so far this book is not very interesting, like the first chapter was really boring because who wants to listen to a story a bout a wedding. If you hurt your ankle you don't need to call 911. You7 just need to drive them to the hospital. Do any of you guys know what the whole contest thing is for. I don't remember them ever telling us what it is for. I do not get why she made that comment about Alice In Wonder Land. Does ANYONE know what incandescently means. I Do not get why Nadia's dad would move so far away from his dad. I would tranquilize my dog so that he could sleep the whole time, and would not whine the whole time.
Thomas day2
Now I do not want to get ahead of myself but I have made another prediction, and that is that all the different points of view are asked from a cop on the night that the crime of the century happened. One of those questions like where were you on so and so a date. I think that this book was geared tower the mid eighties, early nine-dies. I think that the book has a pretty decent story line. I sort-of like the way the author (E.L Koingsburgh) changes mood and style what I don not like is how she has one and a half on one subject the put a new header and change the title. What is the meaning of this? I had the same felling as christian Noah does seem a little spoiled. Point of case what eleven year old kid has calligraphy pens and what not. I find it ironic how right when the group is about to go to Disney there is a tropical storm like thing. I do not see why the superintendent is such a creep Mrs. Onlaski 1: she thought they could win 2: those were the only kids there for tryouts 3: She felt like it. I doubt in my mind that that she picked the team because of hair color. What is a WASP? Why does she throw a tantrum because she does not want to watch turtles? Christian I do think that this book had a fast start. Like REALLY FAST. Also I don't think Noah is that full of himself. Sure he does sound weird already but pride is a good trait arrogance is not. Does anyone wonder how she got here did she tesser act. i may have missed it so please help. With everyones thing on mixed up files thing I agree this book is much worse. Do not be surprised if it turns out to be bud Not Buddy.
Hannah Day #2 Hello! I have to agree with Christian about the first chapter. It was really confusing because everything went by really fast. By any chance does anyone know what coiffed means? The word is on page 21. Last paragraph. It is near the bottom. This book kind of reminds me of the Kane series because it went back and forth from Sadie's point of view to... well i forgot his name, but i think you get the point. I found a similie on page 23 paragraph five. "and she was as plump as a perfectly ripened peach." Wait is that literal? I am going to take a guess, but i think that when there is a question and one of the kids know it they would buzz in and before they give the answer it turns into a flashback of how they knew the answer. I remember I watched a movie. It was about this guy that never went to school when he was a kid. He entered a game show. I think it was millionaire or something. Well the guy got every single question right. So they thought he was cheating and took him into questioning. It turned out he lurned everything from childhood experience. These chapters are so long! I am never going to be able to read my AR books. In chapter one while Noah was talking wasnt granpa Izzy and Margerate the ones getting married. They might of just been there. Whats Yiddish? So far I like the book, but the only thing bringing it down is the fact that it is really confusing. See you all tomorrow! Bye.
Christian Day #2
Hello everyone! I hope that as the chapters go on it will make more sense and get better. I mean, the book isn't bad, but it is a little hard to understand. I think Bridge to Terabethia actually makes sense. I don’t get how she came up with a good book (Bridge) and then wrote this book. Maybe Mrs. Farabaugh is right. It doesn’t really make sense until the end when everything comes together. I just hope it gets better. Does anyone else agree? So far I am really surprised that this book won a Gold John Newberry Medal. Does anyone have an idea of why this book is called a view from Saturday? Does anyone know what onyx means. It`s on page 21 paragraph 3. I found a simile on page 22 that said, "a kid with hair as black as print on paper. Print is not even black. it is gray. I disagree whit Nadia. She said that Autumn is the most glorious time of the year. I think it is Summer. This book has a unique thing in it. No other book I have read (including Bridge) has parts of a chapter. For example, on page 24-25, it has a new heading. That is confusing. I think E.L. Konigsburg should have just made it a new chapter. It doesn’t even go with the other part of the chapter. It is just plain weird. I think that younger moms` have long hair and grandmas` have short hair. I don’t really like how they change the point of view. I think it was nice for Grandpa Izzy to help with the project. Another way this book is weird is that the chapter are uneven. One chapter would be 5 pages and the next be 45. Kind of unusual. See you guys tomorrow!
Ben,Day2 Guess im the first one again i dont see anyones. what is "onyx" i once heard it in a book called peter nimble. I think that Dr.Rohmer was from the army but now retired. this bokk so far doesn't sound like the author him or herself compared to "the mixed up files of miss basil e frankwielier". What does the word " cripple " mean? I think it means you cant move, because a cripple on your face doesn't move does it? I found alliteration on page 23. " Both were wathchers, and waiters. do we have to read th little things at the end because i have to go soon?! Well i am any ways. What does a bomgshell do, and if it is an explosive either thier terrists or hes really, really stupid. how doesn't this guy crash?

Christian Day #1
Hello bloggers! I think blogging is really cool. My favorite character is Noah because he is funny. He talks back and just makes me laugh. This book in the beginning was very confusing. It had a fast start. What do you think? If you read the first page it just doesn`t make that much sense. I agree with Mrs. Farabaugh. The View From Saturday is nothing like Bridge to Terabethia. I also didn’t know what a B & B letter was. This book is like A Wrinkle in Time because Noah and Charles Wallace are both full of themselves. This book is really weird. I agree with Thomas on all the flashbacks. I don’t get why Noah calls his post-it-notes "valuable". Post-it-notes are just like paper just sticky and smaller. I found a simile on page 3 paragraph 1 (in the middle) that said, "Epiphany`s were red and were as loud as things were permitted to get in that large, cold room." I'm reading an AR book called Alex Rider: Eagle Strike and I think it is a lot better than this book so far. By the way, it is 10 points and is about a spy. What is an orchid? I learned what calligraphy means. It means beautiful writing. Is it just me or is Noah making his grandpa buy all this stuff for him? I think he is spoiled. does anyone agree? I think it would take a while to put then pen together. I don’t get why it said they Noah practice calligraphy by doing the alphabet an that he did the letter X. I don’t even think it is that hard. Ahh. That stinks on page 11 paragraph 2. You just buy ink, get home, and your cat jumps on you and you spill it. That's why I don’t have a cat. Ha-ha. Just kidding I'm allergic. It would stain too. I'm "sure" that Tille doesn’t make mistakes. Everyone does. I can prove to everyone one in the world that Noah is full of himself! On page 12 it says, "Fact: I did a wonderful job". He is saying that about himself. It`s good that he has pride but on the flip side he shows it off. When it said that Izzy diamondstein and Allen were from Florida, I was thinking of my mom and dad. They are coming home tonight. Noah has a lot of "facts". Everyone so far in this book is clumsy. See you guys tomorrow! Happy blogging!
Malina Day 1
Hi. I do think blogging is pretty cool and it’s a lot better than writing in a boring old journal all the time. This chapter was very confusing and didn’t understand most of it. Noah (the character telling the story) reminds me of Thomas with his super long exclamation about why he shouldn’t have to write a B&B letter to his grandparents that nobody understands. I disagree with Noah he should write a thank you letter to his grandparents because they could have invited anyone else to go on the cruse. I think Alan is really mean don’t you? I remember going to a wedding but I don’t remember much because I was little the only thing I remember was when the bride and groom were walking down the path and then we started blowing bubbles towards them. I kind of think Mrs.Olinski is really weird because she gives different reasons for things for different people. Nice blogging with you.
Lilly,Day 1
Hello. I do enjoy blogging Mrs. Farabaugh it is quite an experience. I really agree when you said E.L. Koningsburg's other book was better. I found a simile on page 2 paragraph 1. Mrs. Olinski believed that they were not making a fashion statement as much as they were saying something. I don't think a "B&B" letter was from this year. I agree with you Ben this book is really confusing with all the different points of view. Mrs. Farabaugh my favorite character is Mrs. Olinski because she seems so nice and gentle, but very smart. Happy blogging everyone.
Thomas day 1
I think that blogging is cool but can go wrong in misused. My favorite character is Mrs. Olinski. I am setting an early prediction that they win the brain bowl. I found new vocabulary and that is calligraphy. Noah reminds me of Charles Wallace because he seems smart and since that the author wrote that she didn't know how she picked the team, and she didn't know that she didn't know until she did know. The kid probably has super powers. I found 3 flashbacks when Mrs.Olinski thought about when she gave the wrong answer, when Noah talks about how he got his "valuable" post-its, and about the wedding and how there was something wrong with the cake. I'm kind of confused why would you purposely say "Oh do you see that the cake is messed up," when it looks perfectly fine. (and none of the people would notice anyway). At least now I can take some knew knowledge in to my mind a B&B letter. So that was knew. i do not see how this book is hard to understand. Mrs. Olinski starts in the beginning and Noah finishes the end. And for future reference the three stars * * * mean that the setting will change. It may be easy for me to understand but it is not a vary good book. There are a few thing wrong with Western Civilation one: we can not stay out of wars, two: polution, three:unemployment. Also I agree with oliva noah does seem to be a little weird. Steven I do think that it was weird how it kept going fact, fact, fact.

Olivia Day #1
My favorite character has to be Noah because he seems a little cocky, but he is really goofy and funny. He always thinks what he has done is great. Maybe a little too great. I feel that this book is very confusing. There are different points of view, every which way. I found two weird words. One of them is lectern. It means podium.; place where people stand to speak or give a speech. The other word is bated, which means waiting for something. Next, on page three, paragraph three, I found a hyperbole. "Had the room been two degrees colder, the glass would have shattered." I think that Noah is a little smart aleck. He kind of reminds me of Charles Wallace in A Wrinkle in Time. The author uses foreshadowing when he mentions that Noah was using a calligraphy pen. It makes me think that Noah will get the first question right. I found another example of foreshadowing when Noah said that the cake looked good for a while. Later in the chapter, the cake gets ruined by Allen. So far, this story is not as interesting as I thought it would be. Hopefully, it will get better!
Corey day 1
I think blogging is cool too. l agree the mixed up file3s book was good. I think the other book is going to be better than this one. Do you think that this book is written in first person, second person, or third person. I found a metaphor on page 2 paragraph 1 “ The chicken-or-egg team or The Souls.” do you know what the word benevolently. found on page 3 paragraph 2. I found a hyperbole on page 3 paragraph 2 it says that “ with a flick of his wrist he opened them and put them on.” I think that is over exaggerating. I think that Noah should not have to write the letter because his mom was probably the one who invited them. I think I like Noah so far because he likes to state the facts and his opinion on things. I like that he really doesn’t care what other people think of him.
Steven Day 1
In the begining of this book it was confusing but as I read on it started to make more sense.Do you like this book so far?I think that the stuff about Mrs. Olinski iswhat happened after Noah did all those things. This book is like From The Mixed Up Files because it isn't in order from what happened first to what happened last like most books.Ithink that it was wierd that it kept saying factin the begining of some sentinces.Did you think that was wierd too?Iwould not like to write a B&B letter. When I read that their was a cat I thought that something bad was going to happen and it did.I didn't think that Noah was going to keep all of his promoses , but he always found out a way to fulfil his promoses.
Hannah Day 1
Hello! I think that the blogging idea is a creative and a lot more easier that writting back and forth to each other. In the beging of the chapter I dont get when it says "The fact was that Mrs. Olinski did not know how she had chosen her team, and the further fact was that she didnt know until she did know," I found that very confusing. What compation are they talking about? The beging is kind of confusing because you are not introduced to anyone except for Mrs. Olinski. I am not used to only being introduced to one charecter when they talk about a team. It just says Mrs.Olinski and The Souls. I think that is the name of the team. It think it was cool that the commissioner could just put on his glasses with the flick of his wrist. I am guessing that when they introduce someone new they will have it in that new persons point of view. I dont know why, but when I imagine Noah's voice I imagine him saying it really fast. What does nitpicking mean. What is wrong with the Western Cilization?
Isnt calligraphy just really fancy writing? I like Mrs. Olinski the most so far. Noah just seems like he likes to complain. See you tomorrow. Bye!
Ben, Day 1,
I do love bloging its so much fun! A few weeks ago I was reading a book called inkheart and it went from character(s) to character(s) point of view. This book reminds me of " Bridge to Terabithia because they are both very confusing. This chapter reminds me of "Ice Magic" because the main character made it to the finals and if you lost 1 game you were out of the playoffs. this chapter so far is good. I found a similie on page 3 "-- and as loud as things were permitted to get in that , large cold room. Where are the other characters?. New vocab to me " derive " what does that even mean? I think it means to come from. my favorite ( and the only one we've met.) is Mrs .O she sounds very nice. I hope you guys like being in my group! Guess i'm the first one.

Hello Bloggers! I hope that you think that blogging is as cool as I do. I think this book is pretty good, but it is nothing like E.L. Konigsburg's other book we read. It reminds me of a jigsaw puzzle since you can see and understand separtate parts as you go, but you need to finish the whole thing to see how it ALL really comes together. Which character is your favorite so far? See you tomorrow!
