Christian Day #2
Hello everyone! I hope that as the chapters go on it will make more sense and get better. I mean, the book isn't bad, but it is a little hard to understand. I think Bridge to Terabethia actually makes sense. I don’t get how she came up with a good book (Bridge) and then wrote this book. Maybe Mrs. Farabaugh is right. It doesn’t really make sense until the end when everything comes together. I just hope it gets better. Does anyone else agree? So far I am really surprised that this book won a Gold John Newberry Medal. Does anyone have an idea of why this book is called a view from Saturday? Does anyone know what onyx means. It`s on page 21 paragraph 3. I found a simile on page 22 that said, "a kid with hair as black as print on paper. Print is not even black. it is gray. I disagree whit Nadia. She said that Autumn is the most glorious time of the year. I think it is Summer. This book has a unique thing in it. No other book I have read (including Bridge) has parts of a chapter. For example, on page 24-25, it has a new heading. That is confusing. I think E.L. Konigsburg should have just made it a new chapter. It doesn’t even go with the other part of the chapter. It is just plain weird. I think that younger moms` have long hair and grandmas` have short hair. I don’t really like how they change the point of view. I think it was nice for Grandpa Izzy to help with the project. Another way this book is weird is that the chapter are uneven. One chapter would be 5 pages and the next be 45. Kind of unusual. See you guys tomorrow!
